Disability Insurance
Facts and Statistics
Many people across the United States suffer from unfortunate
disabilities. In Florida, it is estimated that 2,496,000
people, or 15.7% of the population, have a disability.
Of those, 1,179,000, or 11.6% of the Florida population,
are of working age. These people are often left without
the abilities to work, and consequently cannot pay all
of their bills without assistance or disability insurance.
In fact, roughly 1,417,000 people with disabilities in
Florida suffer from work related or work hindering disabilities.
