Life Insurance in Ohio

Are you considering Life Insurance in Ohio? Life Insurance is a great way to be there to support your family, even when you are no longer physically there. Life Insurance Agents in Ohio Must Meet the Following Qualifications:

  • They must successfully complete at least 40 hours on the fundamentals of health & life insurance.
  • They must pass the state licensing exam.
  • They must pay an annual licensing fee.
  • They must complete 30 hours of classes every 2 years.

If you are an Ohio resident you can purchase Life Insurance with complete confidence. Life Insurance agents in Ohio are knowledgeable in the field, and can help assist you in making the perfect choice for you and your loved ones.

As an Ohio resident, there are things to keep in mind if you are purchasing a Life Insurance policy. A common issue that families are faced with is not being able to locate any policy information on a particular family member that passed away. Keep in mind that the Ohio Department of Insurance doesn't have a database with such information. Make sure your family has easy access to your policy information in case your passing is sudden, as this problem is not an easy one to fix.

Also keep in mind that Ohio law will no longer treat you as a valid beneficiary to your spouse's (or ex spouse's) policy if you two are divorced after your spouse passes away. Of course, there are always exceptions. If your ex-spouse has specified in writing that you shall still remain a beneficiary, or if it was made clear beforehand that you would still be entitled to the money even if you two are divorced, then this Ohio law would not apply.
